Christianity Today Reports

The definitive voice on the global church today.

CT contrasts the 'ugly orthodoxy' that we see far too often in the news media these days, Christians spotlighted for their hypocrisy and quickness to prefer partisanship over morality and truth. It's refreshing to read CT writers and editors speak truth to power and take a stand on Scripture in the face of so much that challenges the core principles and beliefs of our faith.

Being an Arab Christian living in the Middle East, CT is a good gauge for me that gives me a sense of where the evangelical world in the U.S. is in its thinking, what issues they are wrestling with, and how we can contribute to the conversation.

Christianity Today is an excellent magazine that reports what is happening among the churches outside the US, especially the majority world. It could just as well be called Global Christianity Today. I’ve learned a lot about the church in places like China from CT.

What I really find provocative and interesting is the global reach of authors found in every issue of CT. The authors of three recent articles I found moving are authored by a woman living in Burundi, an Australian evangelist, and a corporate executive from Colorado. Where else do we have opportunity to hear from such a broad range of solidly Christian thinkers?

CT is a village green for American and global evangelicalism where people from various tribes can interact with one another and with the outside world.

Christianity Today Leads

  • Contentious issues often pit the church against society or divide the church. Christianity Today models a better way with Beautiful Orthodoxy, a way grounded in Scripture with listening and uniting, not shaming and dividing.

  • Christianity Today is a voice for the church that shapes the evangelical conversation, brings important issues to the forefront, and challenges Christians to love, serve, and advocate for the overlooked.

CT gives people in the west an exposure to the reality of how people are suffering in the world and how we can make an impact. They tell the stories of people who are doing great things and those stories compel people to get involved and make a difference.
